Have your friends & family go to our website or email them with the following link: http://www.fundraising.entertainment.com/esale2.cfm?CI=933291&SI=663936&LI=1.

Once your friend/family member goes to that link they will type in their zip code. The page that comes up will show all of the books which are close to their zip code.

Once they click “Buy,” they will be taken to another page and the very top the page will say “Thank You For Supporting California Young Professionals Kiwanis.”  So be sure that your friends & family use the above link in order for our club to get credit and make profits per book sold!

What:  Marathon Kids
When:  Saturday, Oct 11, 2008 @ 8-12pm
Where:  Drake Track and Field Stadium @ UCLA (555 Westwood Plaza, Westwood CA 90024)
Brief Description:  Help kick off the 1st mile of this fitness program to keep kids healthy and active!  Marathon Kids is a 12 year old nationally recognized school-based fitness program.  Through this program, children are encouraged to become more enthusiastic about exercise and active by running or walking a marathon, 26.2 miles, over a 6-month period at school and at home.  In addition, they are encouraged to improve their eating habits by choosing to eat “5 a day” fruits and vegetables every month.  This is especially important in LA with the rise in childhood obesity.  Volunteer to cheer on kids, greet families, hand out rewards, or help kids at the start line to ensure saftey.  For more on the organization:  www.marathonkids.org
